Hi, I'm looking for any letterboxes on Long Island, possibly some that aren't listed or another site to look for clues. We've been letterboxing for a while and it definitely makes a great hobby for the whole family. We spend a lot of weekends on LI visiting the grandparents and I would love to have some to share with them.
Any ideas???

The web site is your best bet or What's Neww on the site. Avalon in Stony
Brook is a nice site to visit as well as the Morton Wildlife Presurve. There
may be one at the Brookhaven Vets Memorial site. But you need to plant some and
so do I.

We found the Montauck Light LB on Aug 3, 2002.

I didn't see the previous notes. Are you talking about the Montauck Point Lighthouse box? According to the lbna site, it's been missing since August of this year. I wrote to the owner about it and there are no plans for replacing it. Of course it's still listed anyway.
